Four Seasons Lara Nursing Home offers Physical Therapy Services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Geriatric rehabilitation aims to improve declining functions due to physiological changes and accompanying chronic diseases associated with aging.
Our Expert Psychologist, Social Worker, Gerontologist, and Physiotherapist work together as a multidisciplinary team. Our elderly are encouraged to step out of the "I'm old, it's over" mindset, start walking again, and integrate into social life.
Upon admission to the nursing home, a completely personalized exercise program is prepared by our physiotherapist, taking into account the current health problems of the elderly individual.
Sessions last an average of 30-60 minutes, at least 5-7 days a week, appropriate for their functional level. Exercises starting with a warm-up period continue with balance, flexibility, and coordination work, and end with cool-down exercises.
By applying in-bed exercises and physical therapy to bedridden patients, the musculoskeletal system is mobilized. Stretching inactive muscles prevents joint contractures (stiffening) and the formation of bedsores (pressure ulcers).
Our institution is located in Konyaaltı, very close to the forested area and the sea. On pleasant days, outdoor exercises are performed accompanied by a physiotherapist in the forest area or on the beach promenade.
The loss of independent living skills due to decreased physical activity in the elderly is a major problem. Muscle mass and water content in tendons decrease with age. Muscle strength drops by 30% in back and arm muscles, and 40-60% in waist and leg muscles between the ages of 60-80.
In our nursing home, this dangerous muscle loss (sarcopenia) is prevented by combining physical therapy with oral/enteral nutritional products.
24/7 uninterrupted service with our experienced nurses. Follow-up of chronic diseases and meticulous application of doctor-approved treatments.
Medications used by our elderly are prescribed on time, tracked, and safely administered by our healthcare personnel.
Blood samples are taken in tubes upon admission and at regular intervals (15 days - 1 month), sent to contracted laboratories, and reviewed by our doctor.
In addition to our institutional doctor, support is received from an external Intensive Care Specialist and Neurologist. Hospital appointments are organized.
